These terms apply when you enrol on a LearnCyber track. You accept them by ticking the box at checkout. Please read them with the refund and withdrawal policy and the privacy notice.
Who we are
These terms are with LearnCyber by Hackrowd (RC 9340665), Ikoyi, Lagos, Nigeria ("we", "us"). LearnCyber is the training arm of Hackrowd Technology.
Who can enrol
You must be 18 or over to enrol. If you're under 18, a parent or guardian must sign these terms with you.
What you're buying
You're buying a place on one track in one cohort, for example Ethical Hacking & Penetration Testing in the January 2027 cohort. The track page and the fees page show what the track covers, how long it runs, its format, and its price.
Your place is confirmed when your payment, or your first instalment, has been confirmed by our payment provider, Paystack. We'll email you when that happens. A payment that hasn't been confirmed doesn't reserve a place.
Fees and instalments
- Prices are shown in naira (₦) and US dollars (US$). Each is a fixed price we publish, not a currency conversion. You pay in the currency shown at checkout, and these terms apply in the same way whichever currency you pay in. Any conversion fee your own bank charges is yours.
- The price you pay is the price shown at checkout. It includes everything listed under "What your fee covers" on the fees page.
- If you choose instalments, you agree to pay each one by its due date. We'll email you before each one is due. There are two equal instalments: the first when you enrol, the second by the end of your cohort's first full month (31 January for the 15 January cohort, 28 February for the 28 January cohort).
- An early-bird price applies only if you pay by the date shown (10 days before your cohort starts). After that date the full price applies.
- Your certificate is issued only once the full fee has been paid.
What's included, and what isn't
- Included: live classes, recordings of each session, lab access for the length of your track, your capstone and a one-to-one debrief on it, CV and interview coaching, a three-month internship after the track, and, if you meet the completion requirements, a certificate of completion and a recommendation letter.
- Not included: a job, a placement or an interview. We don't guarantee employment, and nothing we say should be read as a promise of one.
- Exam vouchers: One CompTIA exam voucher is included in the fee for CompTIA Security+ and PenTest+: one exam attempt. If you don't pass first time, you get a free post-exam coaching session and a discounted re-sit voucher. Exams are set, sat and certified by CompTIA. We prepare you for them; we don't award the certification.
- Your own laptop, internet connection and electricity.
Your certificate
- You receive a LearnCyber certificate of completion when you attend at least 80% of live sessions (live, or by watching the recording within the week), complete at least 75% of the labs, pass your capstone, and have paid the full fee.
- A certificate of completion shows that you completed the track. It isn't a professional certification.
- Each certificate has a reference number that employers can check on our website.
Attending, and how we expect you to behave
- Classes are live and run at the times on your cohort page. Recordings are provided, but you'll get the most from the track by attending live.
- You'll follow the student code of conduct. The most important rule: you only ever test systems you are explicitly authorised to test. Our labs are built to be broken into. Anything else isn't. Using what you learn against a system without permission is a crime under the Cybercrimes (Prohibition, Prevention, etc.) Act, and we'll remove you from the cohort without a refund.
- Harassment, cheating on assessments, or sharing lab access or credentials also gets you removed without a refund.
Materials and recordings
- Course materials, lab environments and recordings belong to us. They're for your own learning while you're on the track. Don't share, sell or republish them.
- You keep access to recordings for two months after your cohort ends.
Photos, quotes and your story
We never use your name, photo or words to promote LearnCyber without asking you first, separately from these terms. You can say no, and you can change your mind later.
If we need to change something
- We may adjust a schedule, swap a session or change an instructor. The track content and hours stay the same.
- If we cancel a cohort or move its start by more than 14 days, the refund policy explains your choices.
Our responsibility
- We'll deliver the track with reasonable care and skill, as described on its page.
- We aren't responsible for losses caused by things outside our reasonable control, such as a national power or internet outage, or for indirect losses such as lost income.
- If we're responsible for a loss, our total liability is limited to the fees you paid for the track.
- Nothing in these terms limits a right you have under Nigerian law, including the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act 2018.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, the version you accepted at enrolment still applies to your cohort. Each enrolment records the version you accepted.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. The courts of Lagos State have jurisdiction.
